Collective DVD

The Collective DVD Was recently put back to 18 June for unfor seen reasons,
But after recently speaking to a chap from the UK office he confirmed that it will now be Mid-Late August at the earliest....Due to Content reasons......

Rather disapointing

If you mean Hudson europe in kent Lee. Is the release date he meant FOR the uk? stuff takes longer for us to get it (as you know).

He was under the impression that it was a general release in the US and Europe
So that could maybe the case?
IMO they should keep all release dates firmly under wraps cos these things usually do happen.
First it was may then Jun 9,Then 18.....
You get my drift..
Should be cool when it arrives though,
He was also saying that an audio cd will be shipping with it with trax from each band/artist.

If you've spoke to a guy named bob(?) from hudson europe then its the same guy i've mailed about releases before Lee.

What tends to happen from what he explained to me was: The states release it then, a while later he gets a master copy and its then converted to our pal system.
(this is why the steve smith took so long to get here).

I just wish they'd do them ALL in region 0 code then, we could all have them at the same time.

Best thing to do is mail Hudson usa..i usually get a responce from Paul siegel direct.

BTW, according to hudsons usa site the dvd with the cd is a limited edition one. [img]smile.gif[/img]

I thought all the hudson dvds were multi regional. i bought my steve smith dvd in the U.S??

its is so annoying with everything being released so late over here. tower of powers new cd was released april 22nd.......got my copy last week!! [img]mad.gif[/img]

This dvd will SO be worth the wait tho. it'll also be intersting to see how its been edited......the event was so disorganised (unusual for anything american). Cant wait to see victor and smith bashin it out!!!

I'm probably wrong, but aren't regions and PAL vs. NTSC different things?

I was under the impression PAL and NTSC were framerate (frames per minute) differences while the region encoding was simply that, coding that could be stripped.

Thats right derek, your ntsc system runs at 525 lines per second where as our uk/europe Pal runs at 625 lines per second.

Most new tv's and video's in the uk convert to ntsc. Problem is, if you have a dvd player that only plays region 2 (uk/europe) you're stuffed until its released IN the uk. Code 0 will play in any machine.

Hudson USA are now listing the release date as the 23rd June. (i wouldnt say thats for europe...if you read this lee).

in that case u will probably be able to place an order via the europe office 1 week later........we hope! so our release date should be 30th june......

Paul siegel has mailed me and said, the Dvd will be in their mail order dept and in retailers on the 18th june. (which is on schedule though their site says 23rd june?).
